What Was a Dispensary Highlight?

At a time when many patients were staying home and exploring medical cannabis for the first time, virtual education became one of the most effective ways to share information. Our Dispensary Highlight series gave patients the opportunity to meet dispensary staff, learn about available products, understand patient programs, and hear directly from the organizations serving the Massachusetts cannabis community.

These events represented a new and exciting approach to cannabis education. Patients could ask questions, explore different dispensaries, and gain insight into the industry without leaving home. The webinars also gave dispensaries an opportunity to explain their philosophy, products, and patient services in a more personal and educational setting.

As the industry matured and patients returned to visiting dispensaries in person, these virtual introductions gradually became less necessary. Today, patients can access menus online, browse reviews, compare products, and connect directly with dispensary teams through a variety of digital and in-person channels.

Although the Dispensary Highlight series has largely fallen out of fashion, these recordings remain an important part of the CED Clinic educational archive. They preserve conversations with many of Massachusetts’ pioneering dispensaries and capture a unique period in the history of medical cannabis education.
