Benjamin Caplan, MD

Benjamin Caplan, MD, is a board-certified Family Physician, author, researcher, and internationally recognized expert in cannabinoid medicine and the endocannabinoid system. Founder of CED Clinic and author of The Doctor-Approved Cannabis Handbook, he has spent more than two decades advancing evidence-based cannabis care, medical education, and clinical research. Dr. Caplan mentors the Harvard Business School Cannabis Club, and helped to launch the inaugural HBS Cannabis Business Conference, contributed to leading medical journals, advised healthcare and policy organizations, and built clinical and technology platforms designed to translate complex scientific evidence into practical care. His work sits at the intersection of medicine, research, technology, and health policy, with a focus on improving how patients, clinicians, and institutions understand and use cannabinoid-based therapies.
