Cannabinoid receptor insulin sensitivity is explored in a controlled human trial using gold-standard metabolic clamp techniques. The findings show that CB1 receptor activity can shift insulin sensitivity without altering insulin secretion. This study adds important mechanistic insight into how the endocannabinoid system interacts with human glucose metabolism.
