Researchers Looking At CBD To Treat COVID-19 Lung Inflammation

As more information comes to light about the severe lung inflammation that seems to be the most dangerous symptom of this coronavirus, novel treatments are being explored by researchers across the globe.

High Times Magazine recently highlighted studies being conducted where cannabis was being explored as a possible treatment option. With the known success of treating epilepsy and asthma, it’s no surprise that the plant is being researched for it’s bronchodilating and anti-inflammatory properties.

While we may commonly turn to over the counter anti-inflammatory agents like Tylenol and ibuprofen or more potent drugs like steroids, Dr. Caplan was quoted in the article noting that those options come with risks of their own that may not outweigh the benefits as a treatment option for COVID-19.
