A neighbor's CBD success story can sound convincing when pain has resisted treatment. In one randomized trial of knee osteoarthritis, adding oral CBD to paracetamol did not reduce pain more than placebo after eight weeks. That result does not settle every pain condition, but it is a reason to weigh controlled evidence before expecting the same benefit from a gummy.
