Dr. Caplan’s Clinical Pearl

In chronic pain care, starting with a low cannabinoid dose and adjusting gradually gives patients and clinicians time to assess benefit and tolerability. A peer-reviewed guideline recommends gradual THC titration to reduce adverse effects. A meta-analysis of randomized trials found small average pain improvements with non-inhaled medical cannabis, alongside transient adverse effects.
